Powell Motorsport Reps, Inc. (PMR) is a Manufacturers Representative Corporation owned and operated by Mike Powell and his wife of 16 years, Scarlet. Mike is a 27 year veteran of the Motorsports industry and is well known in the marketplace. He has spent the majority of his career in the NASCAR marketplace. While on the road with the circuit from 1981 thru 1992 Mike held various job assignments. Some of which included, shop mechanic, driving and maintaining the transporter which carries all cars and parts from track to track, and serving on the, “across the wall pit crew” as “gas man”. After coming off the road from traveling full time, Mike worked as Parts Manager / Purchasing. Mike has worked with some of the most successful, top tier racing organizations in Motorsports. They include Hendrick Motorsports, Junior Johnson & Associates, and Dale Earnhardt, Inc..., working with drivers Harry Gant, Benny Parsons, Darrell Waltrip, Jimmy Spencer, Sterling Marlin, Ricky Rudd, Terry Labonte, and Dale Earnhardt.

During Mike’s 27 years in the industry, he has made a lot of friends and has been able to form and nurture relationships with many of the key people, who are now in decision making positions with many elite racing organizations of today.

Mike left the race team side of the business in 2002 to go to work for Goodridge USA, as their outside sales representative to the Motorsports market with emphasis toward NASCAR. Goodridge is a hose and fitting company which design fluid transfer systems. During his employment at Goodridge he was able to secure the business of Richard Childress Racing, ECR Engines, and Roush & Yates Racing Engines.

Mike, through a lot of prayer, thought, and encouragement from family and friends, founded Powell Motorsport Reps (PMR), and was incorporated January 2nd, 2007; PMR is a Manufacturers Representative Corporation which enters into a working agreement with Manufacturers / Companies of the Motorsports Industry, to represent them into the Motorsports marketplace in the most professional manner. PMR primarily covers the south east region of the USA, but focuses on Eastern USA. PMR travels to various Race Shops, Scheduled Race Events, Tests, and Warehouse Distributors throughout the eastern US to represent their clients / Manufacturers.
